school isn't great.

i just don't feel a sense of belonging there. the lecturers are okay, the people are fine, just that, i know i'm not being myself. i don't belong there.

sometimes i feel it's better off for me to walk around in school with a mask on or something. totally want to be invisible.

furthermore, i feel like i'm having the o-levels-period all over again.

the.modules.are.crazy. i know i'm the only one lagging behind in class. ><

my point is, i wanna school to get better, i wanna adapt quickly and hopefully have a smooth journey here in NP.

Okay lemme tell you, my course is damn pathetic okay. only like, 45 people for my batch! and i hardly meet PHARM people during camp also. Everywhere i go people tell me, "I'm from CBE!" or "Biomed!!" or again "CBE ROCKS AH!" but HARDLY "High-five i'm from PHARM!" tsk really. so pathetic. CBE = chem bio engineering = (obviously) guy dominant course. People in CBE are insane! Even the girls too!

Okayyyyyyyyyy i don't like lengthy posts soooooooooooooooooooooo if you're wondering..

I've really moved to tumblrrrrrr lol.

Okay, if you've noticed my tweet......

Yes i have found a choir i'm interested in joining! No history choir, new one established this year :) I'm glad O Mighty God has helped me to find one!

But the thing is, i don't know whether i should really join.... ><

I bet like 300++ people will audition for this choir, (because 300++ people joined the group on FB) and not to forget, there are some really powerful choral singers out there, i'm bound to be rejected easily..

One thing for sure, if i'm going for the auditions, there is NO WAY i'm going to inform my mum.

It's time do things that i REALLY want to do. Let me once in a while enjoy a bit of my life.

Sigh i've been slacking badly. that's why im here. that's why you're here.

I feel a couple of people around me aren't helping at all. This, for instance, a quote that struck me. A quote that really sets me thinking.

"If school were to close, then 4/5, 4/6, 4/7 people sure fail."

It may be a simple sentence as it is. But it sure is very meaningful. In a sense that so many people are affected to it.

YES we may be rowdy kids. We may not hand in work on time. We may not get distinctions for all our subjects like some other classes can. But that doesn't mean you have the liberty to say soemthing like that.

I don't know about you people from 4/5, 4/6, 4/7, but let's all prove narrow-minded people like this wrong.

I see no reason why I should really respect this person anymore.

TOLD YA I HATE MY SCHOOL. This is concrete evidence.

1) I had my MT oral today. I am the first person of the entire cohort (!!) Mdm Loo frightened me before the start of the oral when she exclaimed so loudly, unknowingly had her head SO NEAR TO MY FACE with a "LATER YOU KENA QUARANTINE HOR" I replied her with my most sotong look ever with a "HUH WHY!!!!!!!!!" I wondered whether she had physic powers to look at my face so directly to know that i have swine flu o.o? Lol, she actually meant that i have to stay in the classroom first before going home. That sort of "quarantine" yknow (......teachers nowadays)

2) Oral was fine BUT..... i was kind of worried when the examiners asked me two questions only = no chance to talk more = no extra marks right? They ended with itu sahaja, ada apa-apa yang kamu mahu tambah? - that's it, anything else you want to add? I foolishly went to shake my head. Also, my reading was a big disappointment. ): If i don't get an A for MT, i will retake. Simple as that. Try harder, don't give up!!!! ^^

3) Coach Elgin's workshop about the O levels (again, again and AGAIN this big O is ruining our lives.. for now. If we get superb results, it's another story then :D) is kinda motivating. Even Mr Tan started today's English lesson with "Be motivated!" before giving out the most mundane thing we can ever do for EL: COMPRE. How smart. The thing is, I don't even know what i want to be when i grow up. How?

4) Pictures since... ummmm, long time ago? :B To fill up this boring space.

It's the end of the holidays. It didn't feel like four weeks lor. I can safely say i didn't go out at all except to school and going to Bukit Batok to meet my Mum and lil cousins :B Feels odd not going out anywhere.... It was 1) homework 2) read 3) boysbeforeflowers on youtube then another round of homework read BBFonyoutube hahaha.. One page a day makes me happy! One episode per day makes me happy too! Then you have to watch this! hahaha. One of the songs the orchestra played was the song our CO performed for SYF lol. I recognised the tune very well and immediately told Anle ^^ OK I TOLD YOU I WAS BORED.

OMG i went to sing4harmony just now and read the posts.. There will be a SYF choral presentation!!!!!!!! I WANT TO GO!!! I think I look really ugly smiling.. with teeth. Gosh.

I can't believe I have the same birthday date with the evil monster's nemesis. Only true bloggers will know what who I'm talking about.

I spent my birthday day in solitude.

Yeah well, if not for the messages of "Happy Birthday Ili" or so on, I guess I would really feel like a loner haha. Those messages sure kept me company. I went to Kembangan to attend a ceramah by a ustaz, and I guess that was the greatest birthday gift so far, because it has changed my life completely.

I guess I have neglected some lil important things in life, for instance, to be closer to God. Yes, I'm beginning to realise that only Allah can help me accomplish my dreams, only Allah will help me in times of need, only Allah can understand all the hardships I have to go through. Only Allah can understand how I'm feeling right now.

Then again, I regretted not to realise this much earlier. I regretted for missing my 5 prayers all day most of the times. I want to change, certainly for the better.

Speaking of my birthday, I pretty much want to thank everybody for the messages and presents that I received, thanks. I thought everybody forgot my birthday.. Hahaha. I couldn't believe friends from eons ago can still remember the sixth of june on their calendar. That sure made me touched.

I waited so long for somebody's message to reach my inbox. But even after the ceramah, I still didn't receive it. Even at night, to no avail, my mobile didn't vibrate. Nor it rang. Forgotten, maybe? Or just being ignorant? I dont know. But I was sure disappointed. Sure is. Until now, I still don't understand why you have to forget my birthday. I see no reason why I should even exist. Sigh. Already I feel so distant from you, at least a message will help?

Can't believe I'm crying while typing this hahaha.

I got B for mathematics

I don't feel motivated at all.

Damn, I think I've never studied this vigorously before, but just look at my results.

In the first place, who the hell gets B for Math. _____ came up to Kenneth and shrieked "I got an A leh" I know me and Kenneth did badly =.= Wondered whether he/she saw me when I rolled my eyes in front of his/her face. Just go around and ask people from other classes and they tell you they got a freaking A1/A2. And what did I get? A demoralising B.

I cried so hard at home, but sadly, there will still be a B on my report book.

I am thankful, yes, but I don't think I worked really hard just to get a sad B? It wasn't even a high B at all. Not even near an A2.

I missed the word 'ion' in chemistry and lost 2 marks. I forgot to balance two equations and lost another two marks. Then again, who the hell is so dumb to forget to balance equations? Me. Sigh, I need to stop being so careless all over..

My very first question for Physics was wrong, because I read the question wrongly. The very first one eh. Gosh, what's happening?

Should I even start on my humanities? Sigh..

Am terribly worried for everything, and I don't even know whether June holidays is enough to save myself.. Wonder how my Mum will react when she sees my report book.

Told you it's a stupid chain of bad events. First was SYF now my MYE.

TODAY MARKS ONE MONTH AFTER SYF! Oh, the agony.

This was yesterday:

Me: Did Man U win? At night I switched on the tv for awhile and I saw a stupid Wigan 1 Man U 0, so i switched off the tv again. Haha, that's it for them, the title's over.
Saren: NO LA! They persevered and won 2-1 ok! One more point and they are champions!
M: Yes ah! Oh yay! Yay they made my day haha :D
S: YA. Now must score for E Math. And POA.
M: Yes if Man U can do it, so can we :D

Yes exams are over! I feel so free, and never felt this good before. Wonder how the end of the stupid Os will be like.

Anyway, so much for the "If Man U can do it so can we" thingy because...... I screwed my Math paperrrr. Yes I did ):

The atmosphere in the hall was really tensed, in the last 10 minutes lol, I saw Yong Xiang kept rubbing and rubbing, I saw Yi Ning scribbling in the fastest speed ever, I saw Rausyan more awake than ever before (I think it was the only paper that he tried not to sleep lol) probably because of pressure! The reason why I had time to observe people in the last 10 minutes, because? I gave up. Yes I did. I refused to think of the nth term, I refused to refine my graph, I refused to think anymore. I refused to do anything.

Good job Ms Wee, for such a nice strategy. The first part of the paper you made it easy. The rest was torture. I got stuck at the matrices question and dang, the rest of the questions I got stuck too.

When the invigilator said "10 minutes left" I nearly cried. I knew it was the end, so I told myself, "Why bother continuing? Even if you continue it's still wrong right."

Ok enough. Like what my Peiwen aka DCP (heh) and me tried to be happy about, even if we did badly, count ourselves lucky it's NOT O levels, and learn from our mistakes man. I know Mrs Ng will scream at us next Friday.

I don't even want to mention about the rest of my papers.... very badly done i think. All of them.

I know what's going to happen to me lol. Obviously, my Mum is going to kill me alive hahahhahahaa that's for sure. My tutor will pinch me harder than before when he sees my Math paper and go "Haiyah you ah! Must study harder ok?!!!" lolololol. As per normal. I remembered the other time when I did badly for one of my Math CA, Mrs Ng came up to me and said "How much did you get? How come ah?" and I replied "I don't know how to do. Careless." She added "Haiyo cannot like this!!!" Haha, so typical and so cute man.

Okokokokok my post is really long today, suddenly I have a lot to talk about. The worst examination period I ever had, definitely. Ta. Want to drink milo, heh.

WAS VERY VERY VERY SHOCKED WHEN THE COSTUME ARRIVED. Freaked out. The 1st thing that came out of my mouth was: "My last SYF is so ruined." All of us were like super pissed lor. (Esp the girls hahahha - WELL OF COURSE!!!) and shouted Eww numerous times till we got scolded by Mr Tham lol. Until now I forgot to ask Mdm Suzie why she chose pink.

Well I kept telling myself it's really over, I should I just be focusing on my studies now. But do you think it's THAT easy?

First of all, I kept an empty promise to myself: that we can do it and clinch that medal. I kept telling it's okay it's alright it's absolutely fine, because you've tried your best but really? Is that enough? I mean everytime you fail to accomplish something in life, all you do is to tell yourself: You've done your best and that's all that matters? Really?

I don't know about everyone else, but I am still, still still very affected. Come on, it's my last year with my CCA and see how dreadful everything ended?! I wonder how Mr Tham's doing. Sigh. I'm very sorry man.

I can write a 1001 things what should I have done and maybe, maybe we CAN conquer that medal.

It's no one's fault really, but I personally feel it's mine. Though I know the teachers didn't say anything, what more Mr Tham. But I know. I can feel it.

Three days before SYF. I wasn't feeling so well. It was fever.
One day before SYF. I got to know I had throat infection.

My heart literally sank when the doc told me. Yea i know its just a normal thingy to get infection. But I had to sing. I didn't tell anyone except for the leaders. I didn't want anybody to worry. In the end I told Mr Tham at night and OMG I was really worried ok. I tried to sing, I coudn't sing the first line of White Horses even.

I didn't do ANY of my homework, I drank lots of water and honey honey honey. It was still painful but it wasn't so bad the next day.

Everything went as per normal the day of the competition. We didn't screw up our entries this time. Boys were so focused love them so much. MY VOICE GOT BETTER!!!! Thank God. I can say that I was really thankful and relieved that everything went alright and Mr Tham was happy since we were in tune! Phew.

Results day, I gathered most of us outside school, all wanting to hear the results. Around 6 pm, most of us were present, anticipating and hoping for good news from Mdm Suzie through the phone. Some holding hands, trying to breathe deeply, all anxious to know. All eager to know.

We heard complete silence in the hall. Mdm Suzie hang up the phone.

I knew something was wrong already. I went to a corner, and tried to redial her.

"I'm sorry dear, we got bronze. I'm really sorry"

Everyone started bursting into tears. All my effort. All OUR effort. Diminished into thin air. It was sure Hell for everyone. Sure HELL. I didn't know what to do, but the damn tears. Were like running tap water know?

I'm very sorry. I failed to bring us up. I failed to make you guys realise your dreams. I failed to be a good P. I'm very sorry. I'm very very sorry. Please cheer up, girls. If you're reading this, thank you so much for all the effort. i would never forgive myself.......... ):

I love my juniors very much. I don't know how to leave them just like that. It's really disappointing when you have worked very hard, but yet you got the same results all over again from two years ago.

I know. Such a sad life aye.

I finally got to see my results slip today! Everybody else got theirs last week, I still can't get hold of it NOW know. Cus my mum.. er. She wasn't free last week. This week either. (.......no comments) But Mr Tan was so kind to let me take a small peek at it. Lol! Kind. I had to beg him alllllll the way from the classroom, to the canteen and finally outside the staff room.

I was so relieved when I slowly read my grades from the top.. EL first and so on. Until I saw a stupid C. Then another one. 2 stupid Cs already. So I went "Uh this must be humanities."

Lol. No doubt. I achieved my L1R4/R5 score, the one I targeted!!! But my humanities!!!!! If I scored better, my L1R5 would be a nicer number. Haiyyyyyyyyyyyyyya.

No hope already. No point getting As/Bs for the rest I NEED TO GET MY HUMANS A PASS. At least. Wait, it's already a pass. But it's so um. Half-dead. Like how you got a bronze for SYF. It's like, you're nearly dead, but the judges just closed one eye or something. They felt its too evil to give you a COP thus a bronze is good enough! Same case scenario hereeeeeeeee!!!

I have no idea to improve my humanities... Such a shame. Which means to say I really shouldn't aim to go JC. Aiyah. So frustrating.

Today I had such a frightening experience ever.

So in the morning I was freaking excited because I THOUGHT I'll be fixing my braces TODAY. Yes bloody hell today. I waited for 4 years all my life for this moment, because for the past 4 years 4 months I once suffered with a gap between my teeth, endured the pain of a 'metal bridge' clinging onto my teeth right in the upper part of mouth and even with rubber bands stuck between my teeth. Can you imagine that? Now can you imagine how excited I was to get all those shit out of my mouth?!!!!!!!?!!!!!!

Cus now I'm bloody hell angry that I didn't get my braces fixed, but instead got two of my teeth extracted. PAINFUL OKAY!!!

What a day man seriously. First when I stepped into my 'cubicle' there were not many nurses around. Whoa, relief. Because sometimes there would be five or more nurses swarming into my cubicle and I swear it's very uncomfortable for 5 nurses to stare at me while the doc's handling my teeth!! That was when the whole entire haunting experience started to begin. I had to go to level 2, and I met another doc, he started to examine my teeth, then the extraction began.

At that very moment, I regretted the whole idea of agreeing to braces.

OK i don't want to go further!!! Go and imagine how I was then when the the doc extracted my tooth. lol.

Doc: You're sixteen right? The pain is nothing to you I bet. (gives a wide smile)
Me: (murmurs) Can i kill you right now... You must be kidding me.

I was super late for choir practice lol, so I cabbed to school! When I arrived, I realised there was blood dripping all over ewww gross man. I washed my face, and quickly went to join the choir HAHA but I din't sing at all la of course!!

Mr Tham: Poor thing. Maybe after this you can sing better ~~~

Errrrr =.= Tomorrow there'll be recording session during choir!!! Then we can hear ourselves lol. But I'm seriously unsure whether I can really sing or not -.- When is all this going to endddddddddddddddd?!!!!

SYF's on 15th April people! Band's on the 6th!! Go BL concert band!!!! Go BL choir!!! LOL. I'm feeling very excited for no reason.

And anyway, I swear I had the most fantastic time with my classmates, especially during physics!! Pei Shi and I kept laughing (AS ALWAYS HAHA) but at the same time I could see some very agitated faces from some of my classmates HAHA WHO CARES. I wasn't the only one laughing, I think half of the class joined the laughter with me, Insyirah, Peishi and company lol. Even Gigi and Xin Yi at the other side of the classroom had fun with us lol. Probably those people who got irritated are the ones who couldn't figure out the joke at allllll HAHA.

I find Mr J. Tan very amusing. You can just think back of the lessons and you'll probably remember more how funny his pronunciation can get rather than his own teaching. I love Mdm Wong! She's a nice lady :D

All my CA2 marks were very disappointing..... How pathetic. Not many As this time....

It was such an emotional moment.

No matter how difficult the decision was, I knew what Mr Tham did was right.

Those stupid tears. All of us had to let out everything. We couldn't take it anymore. Some whining, some laughing and crying at the same time (when I thought that was impossible), some just stoned at the corner of the AVA room. There was nothing I could do but to apologise to them.

I think my choir committee deserves a pat on your shoulder for their commendable effort!
Seriously not easy to get the sec ones to understand us. Lol I still remember comments like "Choir's for sissies" or "If I sing can get CCA points meh?" or even "Choir suck la" =.=

Nevertheless, hard work paid off man. 27 sec ones twice the number compared to the previous years!!! For that I'm really happy :D You guys should aim higher for future SYFs!

Sad thing is, it wouldn't really have a great difference for the SYF thsi year, and I think that my instructor's decision to put only 30 best ones up on stage is final.

30 people also can la. I just want to end everything with a good note.

But that's not like.. happening now.. Honestly. I hope everything will change.. asap.

Now to test, whether I can juggle CCA, friends, ___ and studies. I heard there will be CA next week or the week after shit!! I'm not sure, but I know there will be one testing us on whatever we covered during the extended term! Honestly, I only revised Math tsk that's embarrassing.. only one subject.

Anw, I hope I get Mr D Tan as my form teacher (!!) and to get the same teachers in 2008 to teach me again.. No matter how many people say they sucked at teaching or whatever.. I seriously don't want to adapt to a new environment. I think it's best to get the same teacher.. again. They're not bad after all..

People around me have their list of resolutions to go until 10 and above! I think it's unhealthy haha.. Because you have to juggle so many things to complete your resolutions.. you probably have insufficient time.. and start hating yourself for not finishing them. So I think I have two or three. Should be fine!

My New Year Resolutions will be:

1) Do my best to lead the choir (this starts now) = be confident enough to secure a good medal for the SYF by early April = make the school proud till next SYF comes and do even better!

2) Do my best for my studies (this starts now.. again) = study/play hard (no excuses for this) = A lvls JC/Diploma Poly? (this one is still unsettled..)
3) Stop crying easily (Ahhhh yes. Must.)

I hope I'm not expecting too much from myself.. no? I'm terribly worried for SYF. For now, this is my main focus. Studies will not be neglected of course!

I hope tomo will be a happy day.. ^^

Jakarta trip!

After only a day rest in SG after coming back to NZ I had to fly again.. and this time, to my uncle's place in Jakarta (....my mum doesn't even let me rest) but I flew with my cousin and maid only this time! Cool but we were stuck in the airport for like.. 3 hours waiting for our uncle to arrive?! Hate the traffic jams. We stayed at my uncle's bungalow and after two days, the rest arrived!!

On our second day, we went to the rocky shore to check out how healthy the area was by collecting the various species of animals found there. AND THAT WAS THE PLACE WERE I GOT BURNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DAMN. Anyway, we had some fun playing around at the beach with the waves, then we set off to a huge open land were we played blokart; a car that can only move with the help of the wind!

Time flies! And it was our fourth day in NZ! We left Pacific Park and went to the estuary to dig and gather the cockles there and learnt how to weave the flax! We set off again and after a 20 minutes ride on the bus, we arrived at a park and planted flax there, at the same time contributing to the environment! Then, we went to visit the Marae people where we stayed for a night and had an awesome time being welcomed by them.

8504 km away - Day 5: Kiwi 360, LUGE RIDE!!, Geysers and Mudpools

We left the Marae on the fifth day and left for a kiwi farm, the Kiwi 360! We learnt about the factors contributing to the growth of the kiwi fruit and went shopping for souvenirs :D Then, we went up to a mountain with the longest name ever (that's why I forgot its name ^^) and rode on the luge!!! Highlight of the trip!!! We do have one here in Singapore, the one at Sentosa, but this one is certainly more thrilling and exciting! Finally, we went to the geysers and mudpools!

It was the last day!! We went to the Waitomo Caves Museum to watch a video on glow worms, before going to the Waitomo Caves to view the glow worms. It was an amazing experience! The glow worms hanging from the roof of the caves, looked like stars in the night sky! We had a little summary session before we had dinner, mini golf and to the airport to fly back home!

Most sarcastic people I've ever met - I ever been with in fact. Lookkkkk guys, I got one good fat scolding from them for drinking a glass of coffee.. without permission! So if I have to go the the washroom in the middle of the night I'll have to ask you, still? Since when I had to do that!!!? Does it really matter?!

1) Exhausted. Woke up at 7.

2) I'm feeling a tad sad. Don't ask.

3) I'll have to skip 9 choir practices - approximately 27 hours. I'm afraid I won't be able to catch up or something.. These days I do have difficulty singing some high notes. Throat = sore. Hate it. What's more I have the 'solo' part and ummm.. one good terribly high note to reach at the very last part of the acapella song. Kat... don't tell me I have to sing that note alone.. With me please.

4) Guess you'll prolly know where I'm going. Will be back on the 26th but.. will be flying off again. 2 destinations = home sick.

5) Really really hope I can catch up with studies these holidays. I have this 'pressure' dealing with so many people. Can't believe their aren't satisified with my results when yet, I've tried my best. And it's not as if I failed anything. Look, I think I got what you want. I passed everything!!! .. What more do you want? I got you As what.. you were expecting? 5 As? Too bad. I can't handle that. God's Will. Insya Allah. But not now. Not now.
6) Fyi, I am disappointed that I didn't get what you want.. what you're expecting. Not that I won't listen to you. You're my mum. No matter how many times you've been disappointed with me. I won't be rebellious. I will still listen to you. I will still love you. Prolly you don't know that, no?

BEIJING (AFP) - Used condoms are being recycled into hair bands in southern China threatening to spread sexually-transmittable diseases they were originally meant to prevent, state media reported Tuesday.

In the latest example of potentially harmful Chinese-made products, rubber hair bands have been found in local markets and beauty salons in Dongguan and Guangzhou cities in southern Guangdong province, China Daily newspaper said.

'These cheap and colorful rubber bands and hair ties sell well ..... threatening the health of local people,' it said. Despite being recycled, the hair bands could still contain bacteria and viruses, it said.

'People could be infected with AIDS, (genital) warts or other diseases if they hold the rubber bands or strings in their mouths while waving their hair into plaits or buns,' the paper quoted a local dermatologist who gave only his surname, Dong, as saying. A bag of ten of the recycled bands sells for just 25 s en (three cents), much cheaper than others on the market, accounting for their popularity, the paper said.

A government official was quoted as saying recycling condoms was illegal. China 's manufacturing industry has been repeatedly tarnished this year by a string of scandals involving shoddy or dangerous goods made for both domestic and foreign markets.

In response, it launched a public relations blitz this summer aimed at playing up efforts to strengthen monitoring systems.
